Who does not love the beach? When people think of a holiday or a vacation, the image of white sands, blue water, glorious weather, always comes to mind. In New South Wales, the town of Yamba can make this image a reality and Yamba Beach is definitely the most ideal place to take your well deserved holiday with your loved ones or friends.

The town of Yamba is right next to the biggest river in the Australian east coast which is the Clarence River. The town natives live an easy laid back life where access to services is within reach. The town is only a short distance from other well known resort towns including Grafton, Lismore, and Ballina. It is three hours away from Brisbane, a couple of hours from the Gold Coast and a short two-hour flight from Sydney.

Perhaps the most practical form of accommodation in this lovely holiday town is the motels in Yamba. These well kept establishments are ideal for the budget conscious and those who would rather spend their holiday funds on recreational activities rather than accommodations. Booking a stay at a Yamba motel is as easy as logging on to the Internet and you would want to make your reservations ahead of schedule especially during those high-traffic tourist months.

Once you have settled in at your motel, you should not miss seeing Yamba beach which is situated between Yamba Point and Clarence Head. It is one of the most popular in the north coast. The beach is not the biggest in the town but it offers the best sights and the best access for cars, making it one of the most popular beaches in the region. The beach is perfect for swimming as it is patrolled all the time. Swimmers are advised to stay within the flags and steer clear of the rips near the rocks. The beach has good visibility and would be safe for children when under the supervision of adults. Yamba Beach is also ideal for surfing with a variety of great beach breaks for thrill seekers. Fishing is also a favourite activity in the beach as jewfish, tailor, and bream can be caught against the rocks.
