We didn’t book or check out reviews. We liked the location being across from the Yamba bowling club. Close to everything you’ll need. The check in was easy and our room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Plenty of car parking off the main road. While it isn’t a modern place it was comfortable and great value for money. Would recommend the Sun.

Compared to most places in Yamba during holiday season, the Yamba Sun is very affordable. It is located close to the river, bowling club and town centre. Our room was clean & spacious, well appointed, (including free wi-fi, aircon, nice cookies, tea, coffee and REAL milk) there was also a nice view of the pool. The reception staff and cleaners were exceptionally friendly. Although the motel is pretty old it still gets five stars for the combination of affordability, location and cleanliness

We stayed here for one night. The location is great, very friendly staff, clean and not too expensive. Just what you want for a short stay.We were contacted before arriving because of bush fires in the area. Will be back next time

Great position and reception, Graham made us feel very welcome not like some 4 and 5 star motels. Local to dining and great walks. Local to shops and views. Will visit again soon as best motel in Yamba and reasonably priced and rooms were clean and comfortable.

What s fantastic motel, from the initial person for the booking to the accomodation 5star. Close to everything, beach food cinemas etc. Will definitely stay here again. Tea coffee toaster microwave, clean and inviting and feels like a mini home. Easy access and parking. Thankyou Sun Motel.

The room was clean, plenty of room and staff were very friendly close to Restuarants, Shopping, Clubs plenty to do go for a leisurely stroll and enjoy the amazing views of Yamba I’m sure you would love a short or long stay

We stayed in room 13. There were 4 adults. Plenty of room. Air conditioner in main bedroom and in lounge room. Massive bathroom including big walk in shower. Everything was clean. Microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle. It was perfect for our one night stay but I’d happily stay for a week! Walking distance (5-10 mins) to river, Club, Thai food, Spar convenience store. Staff were very friendly & happy to answer any questions we had. Ordered breakfast (about $45 for 4) which was delivered hot & fresh.

A group of 6 ladies we had the most wonderful week staying at the Sun Motel, our host looked after our every need, the rooms were immaculate as were the gardens & pool. Where it is situated we could walk to the town, beaches, river etc., wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

The lady running this motel was very friendly and anticipated all of our needs. The room was well maintained and comfortable. Great location for people attending events at the “Bowlo” and convenient for a quiet walk along the riverside. Wifi was somewhat intermittent (off air for a minute or two at a time, but often.) Overall, a good choice and I would stay there again.

Our room had everything you want from a motel – comfortable beds, a hot shower and everything was nice and clean. Great little touches like current magazines and jam drops to have with coffee. Very friendly and welcoming host. Perfect for our one night stay, and a welcome relief from our road trip!

We didn’t have a booking but were so warmly welcomed and given a great room. Clean and tidy with everything you could want. Comfy bed, well-equipped kitchenette, lovely balcony, full shower etc. We were very comfortable using this motel as our base for 3 nights as it was walking distance from everything and we felt right at home.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Yamba sun for two nights in April. Upon arrival we were greeted but our very friendly host Bronnie. She was more then helpful. We had bikes with us which she allowed us to keep in the motel garage and was full of advice about sights to see. Our room was immaculate and well stocked with any amenities we might need. Location was within walking distance to the ferry and downtown.

Immaculately clean upstairs room, balcony but what makes this motel is the amazing customer service , could not have been more helpful on arrival, grounds are impeccably neat and great access to boardwalk and to town would definitely stay again

“We stayed in a large modern room with air conditioning and balcony. It had all the standard features you expect, flat screen, foxtel, aircon, and free wifi. The ground are nice and well maintained with a decent pool.”

Lovely hotel located 5 -10 minute walking distance to Yamba town center. Owners are fantastic, friendly and could not go out of their way to be more helpful. Rooms were very clean. off street parking mostly. Great pool and BBQ area. Just across the road is the local bowling club for cold beer and bistro. We are going back for sure.

“Stayed here one night to break up a long car journey but definitely worth staying for longer. Beautiful small town on the beach : lots of good restaurants and really chilled. The Motel we stayed in was excellent : clean with a nice pool : walk to town and the staff met up with a small pint of real milk to welcome us. Motel is 5 minutes walk from town and opposite the bowls club : lovely poolside area : very well run and the pool did sparkle.”
